February is a great month! Mostly because it’s my birthday month! I’m unashamed to admit that I love my birthday.
Last month, the water leak thwarted my plans to get organized, but I plan to show you guys how I’m reorganizing my clothes closet in the bedroom (remember when I told you how messy it was!) and make up counter in the bathroom. (Edit: Here’s the closet and make up counter posts!)
I also want to take you guys on a photo tour of a local, specialty, Italian grocery store, post a review of Ina Garten’s cookbook that my parents gave me for Christmas, finish our wedding invitations and start our 2013 scrapbook. (Edit: Here’s the cookbook review!)
Foodwise, I plan to make some Ina recipes such as her chicken Parmesan, five-cheese penne and oven-fried chicken. There’s also her orange pound cake on the menu, where I can use the skill of zesting that I showed you last month. (Edit: Here’s where I adapted Ina’s chicken Parmesan, oven-fried chicken and the pound cake.)
I also want to make some food from other cultures such as Hungarian kremes, Ethiopian chicken stew and red lentils and Moroccan chicken stew. And finally master latkes, which are on my 2013 goals list. (Edit: Here’s my first attempt at kremes!)
And I’ll post all the planning for ¡La fiesta de cumpleaños! and a special Valentine’s Day dinner that I plan to make for A.J., although I have no idea what it’s going to be yet! (Edit: Here’s details on the fiesta!)
So it’s going to be a busy month around here, but the good kind of busy! I can’t wait to share it with you!

Hi Jewels! It looks like it’s going to be a busy February, but I’m sure you’ll have so much fun! Let me know how the Hungarian kremes turns out. I love that dessert :)
Hi Dana! Thanks for stopping by! Have you tried The Darlington Inn in Ligonier? Most amazing Hungarian food ever, but their kremes is especially delightful.
